a broken wing
etched across the hour
that is too late
for huge mule tears
or spite syllables.
die-
in asphalt and ash
crumpled metallic bonds
outline
paper thin slashes
marking accident quarrels.
slowly-
a mixture of molasses
and mollusk
is all that holds
the wet ether breath
on the outskirts
of that time
then.
